WB’s Marija Pavkovic has been asked to be a judge for Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta’s Company Program ‘President of the Year’ award this year!
Offered to students for over 50 years in southern Alberta, the Company Program is a hands-on program that allows students the opportunity to experience the risks and rewards of entrepreneurship by starting and operating an after-school business. Over the course of 18 weeks, students are the main decision makers as they collaborate with professional volunteer consultants to solve real business challenges and develop leadership skills.
Students get to compete for awards and scholarships, and Marija will be working with 2-3 other judges to help choose the best young president!
“This is a very exciting opportunity,” says Marija. “I really enjoy mentoring youth in business and I’m really excited to see all of the hard work and business finesse these students have to show off!”
